I am very grateful to have received the award for the second year in a row. It's nice to be recognized for what we did last year.
Looking back on 2021, I think it was the year I felt the biggest ‘wind’ in my 15 years of eBay seller experience and tried to read and grasp that wind. I'm sure there will be many winds blowing this year as well, but I will continue to eBay happily, wisely, and diligently while taking care of my family. Thank you very much.

What kind of year was 2021 for your company?

I think this was the year that I was recognized for my 15 years of activities on eBay. I think the reason why I was able to increase my sales even in these times is because buyers appreciated my past achievements and trusted me. Since winning the same award last year, I have been interviewed by various media outlets, participated in the eBay Japan Hosts Tokyo Seller Fly-In, and had my social contribution activities through eBay published in Stories on eBay.com. It was also a year when my five-year-old daughter saw me being interviewed by the media, and her opinion of me soared.

What did you devise to increase sales?

We actively utilized the new systems (coupons, etc.) introduced by eBay. In order to be able to respond flexibly to unforeseen circumstances, we increased the number of human resources and periodically reviewed the system with the cooperation of logistics companies and business partners.

What was the biggest highlight of your business in 2021?

My social contribution and other activities through eBay were published in the Stories section of eBay.com, and the coverage led to my employment of people with disabilities.

Any advice for sellers aiming to win the awards?

I think it is difficult to simply repeat the same methods as others. I believe that understanding your strengths and remaining competent and diligent is the shortcut to success.
